A Group for the Performing Arts & Crafts

Welcome to Kadambari

Founded in Bangalore in 1987, Kadambari is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering and promoting the performing and fine arts. Rooted in a deep commitment to inclusivity, creativity, and cultural preservation, Kadambari has worked for over three decades to raise awareness and appreciation of diverse art form, especially among children and young people.

Evolving into a living, breathing archive and interdisciplinary platform, Kadambari today centers community-based practices for Indian arts & crafts while bridging generations, languages, and artistic traditions. We create spaces for collective imagination, critical reflection, and transformative dialogue, inviting people of all identities to help shape how stories are remembered, shared, and reimagined.

We invite you to explore, contribute, and be part of our continuing journey.

Why Our Work Matters

The Challenge We Face

In a fast-changing, globalised world, communities are becoming increasingly disconnected from their roots. Traditional arts are vanishing, and mainstream education often sidelines creativity in favour of competition and conformity.

Our Belief

At Kadambari, we see the arts as essential to human growth, not optional. They help us make sense of the world, build emotional intelligence, and connect with our cultural legacies.

Our Commitment

By preserving endangered art forms and supporting traditional artisans, we protect centuries of cultural knowledge and ensure these legacies live on for future generations.
